Lock State
Lock State is automatically set for many actions to protect sensitive data.
With new settings some Tools are needlessly locked and have been corrected. These include:

• Barcode Settings
• Map Import
• Quick Searches
• Startup Dialogs
• Reports
• Q & A
Find Error
Big Business 14.24 fixes a problem where it decides to move your preset choices in the Find Dialog off screen. This problem occurs with Memorized settings and whenever you add more than three criteria to your search and then re-open the Find Dialog.
Other Assets
Other Asset is an Account Type being added. To start it works with a new report, Balance Sheet, New.
Paged Forms
Paged Form are updated in Big Business 13.67 and Big Business 14.24 so they do not cause the displayed problem pictured, which is moving objects off screen, in this case the message and buttons that are suppose to appear on this dialog.

CSV Imports
Big Business automatically recognizes the .csv extension and imports CSV files in lieu of .txt, Tab-Text files normally recommended, because there are may sources such as Apple Numbers or downloads of transaction histories that use the CSV format.
However, prior to Big Business 13.67 and Big Business 14.24 .csv was not recognized when it was capitalized, that is .CSV. To work around this problem, change .CSV to .csv in the Get Info or Properties window, or open and re-save, or simply update.
BigCommerce Digital Products
BigCommerce has you define Products as Digital or Phyical, so if you sell electronics with optional controller software you may be tempted to call your software, Digital.
Digital actually means downloadable from your BigCommerce online store, and Physical means provided by you and therefore needing to be on Orders you receive.
In short, if you use Digital you may not receive some orders into Big Business. Orders for Digital only are set to Completed in BigCommerce, so they are not retrieved by Big Business which is looking for order status Awaiting Fulfillme... (more)

Balance Sheet, New aims to provide a more dynamic financial report to make it easier to add new Account Types or suppress unused or Inactive accounts as you prefer.
Windows Service Error
The pictured error can occur when trying to launch Big Business Server for Windows, from its Shortcut, as an Application, when it is already running as a Windows Service.
To avoid this problem, Stop the Service before attempting to run as an Application. When this problem occurs, the fix is to Restart the computer, then Stop the Service.

Auto Help
Auto Help reminds you of uses or settings that may affect your operating procedures. If you use new Account Types you want to use new financial reports that show them. Auto Help can check your data and let you know if a selected report might not work. This makes the system more flexible without needing to switch settings or keep SOPs, although you should always have standard operating procedures documented for others to use in your absence.
