Chapter 103 Customer Credit
Big Business lets you set Terms and Credit Limits to help you control customer credit.
Big Business manages Customer Balances and Due Dates and includes:
• Warning or Preventing new entries for Credit Hold
• Generating Statements, Finance Charges, Discounts
• Reporting Accounts Receivable and Customer Agings
This Chapter will provide detail for each feature to help keep your receivables on time.
Shopify Subscription
Shopify Connect options are now by subscription. This will reduce initial costs and help keep pace with their blistering changes especially with fundamental connectivity.
Shopify Shop App
Shop App orders are imported to Big Business as Orders, separate from Shopify POS.
Shop App lets customers order through Shop.app or using the Shop App themselves. These orders are handled the same as orders coming from your ownShopify Web Store.
This functionality is updated for Since Last that lets you get orders without archiving.
Invoice Freight Calculation
Invoice Freight Calculation updates automatic freight calculations for partial invoices.
Shipments post to the Order and Freight Charges are calculated which carry forward. On the Invoice if the Subtotal is different Freight Charges are automatically updated.
Invoice Freight Settings
Invoice Freight Settings are copied from Orders when converted and used for updates.
This includes Freight Terms, Freight Rate, and Freight Limit being copied from Orders. Changes to Customers or Contacts to have new settings are not retroactive to Orders.
ShopifyPOS Accounting
Accounting is the backstop that helps ensure all orders and all sales are filled and paid.
ShopifyPOS Connect imports both Orders and Invoices to handle accounting for both.
Big Business helps you manage your accounting and reconcile your bank transactions. Shopify Plugin lets you import both web orders and POS sales by accounting for each.
Big Business automatically imports Payments with Orders and auto-applies them, and also imports paid Invoices from POS sales with Payment Type to automate Deposits.
Shopify Trial
Shopify Trial lets you turn on Shopify Connect with a click to try with Shopify Trial.
Shopify lets you set up a test store for a free trial, so Big Business lets you do same. Go to Company card, Upgrade, Shopify and click the Free Trial button to turn it on.
Quote Customer
Quote Customer is a fix for existing Quotes to look up their customer when opened.
Prior to this fix, an error could occur from not finding the customer and impeding edits.
Chapter 249 Alerts
Alerts let you add alerts for Customers, Vendors, or Items that need special handling.
Start by turning on Alerts in Employee Prefs to show them In-Line where they must be OK'd before continuing, or Aside, in the upper right of your screen for reference.
Auto-Charge Freight
Auto-Charge Freight lets you set Other Charges to automatically fill in Freight Charges.
For example, on an Order if Auto-Charge is set, any change to Freight Charges will be copied to Other Charges, so will update when new shipping posts or amounts change.
Auto-Charge lets you preset for a Customer, on the Automatic tab, or click in an Orders Search to instantly update, or Mark, or Update, or set on Order Expanded tab.
Auto-Charge Customer
Auto-Charge Customer lets you set a customer to enter Other Charges from Freight Charges which are automatically calculated by Freight Rate settings.
Auto-Charge is found on the Automatic tab of a Customer card, which is not on by default. In Employee, Access set Show Automatic Tab and Automatic Access to allow.
Automatic Access
Automatic Access lets you allow an Employee without All Access to use Automatic Actions.
Auto-Charge, for example, automatically sets Other Charges to Freight Charges. Once set if Freight Charges recalculates, Other Charges is updated.
With Automatic Access the employee can click the Auto-Charge checkbox on Orders. Auto-Charge can be preset on a Customer and only changed with Automatic Access.
Update Access
Update Access adds access checking to the Update tool for changing records on Searches.
Update is the tool with the magic wand icon found on Searches such as Customers. Use it make changes to several records at once such as setting Credit Limit for a group.
Update has its own Access setting on Employee Access but does not supersede others. Pictured, Terms Access prevents a change to Credit Limits by this employee.
