MacOS Tahoe beta was released June 9, 2025 and seems to work with BigBusiness 15.
Tahoe is the last version of macOS to work on Intel Macs, using chips like the i5 or i7. BigBusiness 15 is native for Apple Silicon, their new chips such as M1, M2, M3, M4.
Earlier versions of Big Business are no longer updated and are not supported on Tahoe.
Testing macOS Tahoe on an M2 MacBook Air resulted in an odd Date & Time setting.
This was fixed by forcing a sync in Terminal by typing, sudo sntp -sS time.apple.com.
Universal Control lets you move from iMac to MacBook when they are side-by-side, moving your mouse from one Mac's screen and onto another's. Keyboard works, too.
Universal Control is turned On in MacOS Tahoe and this is a mind-bending experience. Drag from Sequoia (left) to Tahoe (right) and double-click (same mouse) to open there.
Connection Errors occur for a variety of reasons like your Server is not reachable due to networking issues, your BigBusiness Client is the wrong version for your Server,...
If you are presented with a Connection Error start with a restart by clicking Quit, using Force Quit, or choosing to Restart your computer to give it a fresh start.
If the problem persists contact support@bigbusiness.com for help finding a solution.
Force Quit works the same on MacOS Tahoe and may be needed if your BigBusiness Client is left connected but your BigBusiness Server is restarted or turned off.
If you wait, your disconnected Client will eventually give an error and button to Quit.
You may use Force Quit anytime. Your BigBusiness Client works in transactions, saving completed enties and ignoring any partially completed entries for consistency.
