Send From

Mail Notify can use the Send From account set on Company card, Advanced Options.

Send From on Company card lets you use a general purpose email account for sending.

To use your own account, add it in Send From in My Prefs where only you can use it.
Then on Mail Notify check the checkbox for Send From next to Send Notifications To.


  Windows Thunderbird Drag

BigBusiness 15 lets you drag to the Docs folder including from Windows Thunderbird.

Drag email from Windows Thunderbird and drop on the Docs folder to save time. Other users can open the email by double-clicking and see any attachments included.

Turn on Docs if you haven't already and drag a message from Windows Thunderbird. Drop it on the Docs folder on a new order to save a whole email including attached PO.


  Import Quote Department

Department on the Quote Line Item Import is updated to find a matching Department.

Prior to this change it would import any text and match the Department on invoicing. Now it matches the Department to an entry in the list, only, and fixes Quotes Search.


  iPad Barcodes

iPad can read Barcodes using its camera--not super speedy, but camera is always there.

For fast scanning add a bluetooth scanner such as a simple handheld. When you forget, simply tap the Barcode button on the iPad and point the camera at the barcode to read.


  Server-Side Optimization

Server-Side Optimization is just a fancy way of saying, runs on Server, so it goes fast.

Mail Notify is updated to run on Server. The report for Customers by Exempt Expiry is also updated. Depending on results, others may follow in short order, that is, asap.


  Invoice Number

Invoice Numbers are issued when the invoice will be printed and saved, if all goes well.

Add a Notification for Invoice Number to know immediately when it does not go well. A problem with a computer or printer could prevent saving, or someone might Delete.

Your accountant will like not having missing invoices. Your IT will like knowing to fix.


  Sales Order List

Orders Search lets you print a list of orders, and Sales Order List lets you customize it.

Go to Reporting toolbar, Forms, click New and in Templates is a new Sales Order List. Make changes by double-clicking for Properties, or using Arrow keys for small moves.
Click to Close the window and for Save Report As... enter a name like My Order List.

Print from Orders Search to test and return to Forms to find My Order List in the list.

Big Business includes built-in forms for most operations, such as RMA's or Pick Lists. Custom Forms allow you to create forms from templates and add in the data you need.
