Terms Access

Terms Access lets you set access for an employee to customer credit tools like Credit Hold, which can be used as a checkbox on Customers Search or Customer History.

Without All Access or Terms Access the employee will not be able to change Terms. Terms settings include Terms, Credit Limit, Credit Hold, and Credit Hold Days.



  Ship-To Freight

Ship-To Freight changes the Freight Terms when changing Ship To by clicking Other.

In the picture, Other is clicked in Ship To and shows Live List, preset in Dialog Prefs. Double-clicking Ed in Live List dialog selects him as Ship To and sets Freight Terms.

Live List includes Filters to handle 100's of Ship To's. Clicking Edit in Live List dialog goes to the full Contact card to access History tab with presets such as Freight Terms.



  Versions

Versions help you coordinate your setup to avoid errors such as mismatched Clients.

Within a major version, Clients often work with Updates to Server without reinstall. Where needed, such as Database Updates within a version, Clients may need reinstall.

Versioning is updated to help within major versions.



  Freight Charges

Freight Charges are filled in automatically using Freight Rate from Customer or Terms.

Freight Terms let you select a Freight Rate to automatically calculate Freight Charges. And on the Customer card Automatic tab you can select a Freight Rate to use instead.

If a Freight Rate is selected, Freight Charges are automatically calculated and updated. And if Auto-Charge is enabled the Freight Charges result is copied into Other Charges.

  Chapter 251 Freight Misc

Freight Misc covers various considerations when you turn on Freight Terms features.

Freight is a feature set that replaces Department with Freight Terms and automates. It reads postings from your shipping system to calculate freight costs and charges to add.

Automating Freight is an important step in automating invoicing as detailed here, but is disruptive since it replaces Department well but not entirely. Here is the miscellany.
