  Data Driven

Big Business makes it simple to manage automatic actions by making them data driven.

Examples include:
• Notify Ref # - automatic web notifications only happen for Orders with a Ref # here
• eCommerce ID - automatic updates to pricing or availability are for Items with an ID
• Ready - automatic actions like sending an invoice happen after Ready is checked

If you want to know which Invoices are Ready or Sent, just Add (+) a Column that contains the Data you want to see, like the Ready checkbox.

Advanced Basics helps with more basic operations that make data entry fast and easy.



  Since Last

Since Last lets you get orders from Shopify without changing their Status to Archived.

Shopify Connect uses Status to get orders that are Open and setting them to Archived. This may interfere with using Shopify Dashboard or accessories for order management.

Switch to Since Last with a click and BigBusiness will get new orders as they come in.



  Department Prefs

Department Prefs let you repurpose the Department field, for some a matter of course.

Department is in the middle of transaction windows and its intent not wholly obvious.
Consequently it is adapted to needs such as freight terms, fulfillment status, and so on.

Freight will be the first variation, complete as Freight Terms and helping fill in charges.



  Freight Terms

Freight Terms is a deep customization that adds Freight Terms to replace Department.

Choose Freight Terms for Department Prefs to apply throughout starting in Customer. Then in Customer Prefs, set Default Freight and Edit some of the entries to add Terms.

Freight Terms will help automate Charges and Costs for freight according to set Terms. For example if Shipping Connect returns charges, "Free" Freight might replace with $0.



  Shopify Authorized

Shopify Authorized orders need special handing with Since Last to separate POS sales.

This function is transparent and is noted here to reduce confusion when using Shopify. This function does not affect exising setups not using Since Last and instead Archiving.



  Chapter 51 Freight Terms

Freight Terms lets you switch the Department to Freight Terms to automate shipping charges and costs. This switch replaces default Departmental Profit & Loss functions.

Freight Terms lets you create entries with names and calculations to handle when you are paying Freight Costs, adding Freight Charges to customer invoices, and much more.



  Shopify Authorized

Shopify Authorized orders need special handing with Since Last to separate POS sales.
