Add/Modify Groups

Groups are a popular customization option to help manage any lists that grow too big.

Sales Tax Groups were added for a Flag Works company that had nexus in NY and FL. Grouping by State separated Albany, NY and Albany, FL into submenus--super-easy.

Customer Type Groups can simplify reporting by sub-types. Customer Groups help combine chain stores with corporate credit limits. Adding a group for your list is easy.


  Force Quit

Big Business Client works with Sleep settings on your Mac to connect again to your Big Business Server on waking . This is handy, except when Server is not to be found.

If Server was shut off, or if you switched networks, or it has been too long in Sleep mode, Client may not connect again and try to Quit. Or, it may need to be Force Quit.

Choose Force Quit in the Apple menu, click Big Business Client, and click Force Quit.


  End Task

Big Business Client works with Sleep settings on your computer to connect again to Big Business Server on waking . This is handy, except when Server is not to be found.

If Server was shut off, or if you switched networks, or it has been too long in Sleep mode, Client may not connect again and try to Quit. Or, it may need you to End Task.

In the Task Manager, click once to select Big Business Client and then click End Task. To open the Task Manager right-click on the Windows taskbar and choose from menu.


  Remember Server

Remember Server lets you choose for all Clients or your Client how to connect, or not.

To start Big Business Client will search on your local network for Big Business Server. Once you connect, it will remember the Server and connect again automatically, faster.

You can override this in Company Prefs for all Clients, or My Prefs for your Client to support multiple locations, multiple servers, or any custom configuration for security.


  Connect Options

Connect Options help you connect your computers quickly and easily, wherever used.

When you start Big Business Client on your local network where Big Business Server is running, it will automatically connect. For other connections, there are more options.

You might connect remotely, to a remote or cloud server, to a second server, and so on. For each, there are supported options to help make all your connections easy and fast.
