Chapter 514 Windows 11
Windows 11 is a series of systems with confusing names like 22H2, the 2022 Update.
At each step, we try to update this chapter with what works or doesn't work and improvements being made to make it work, which usually entail a new Database.
A new major version such as BigBusiness 15 improves upon Big Business 14 by replacing the Database licensed within and leveraging its improvements to workability.
Windows 11 2022
Big Business 14.19 uses an updated Database that is certified for Windows 11 22H2. This means database operations have been tested for latest Windows 11, 10, and 2022.
If you are updating from an earlier Big Business 14, is recommended that you update all Client software, too. Normally, you just need to update Server to get new features.
Windows 11 2023
Windows 11 2023 Update version 23H2 will be released in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Big Business 14.61 includes a Database update that is certified for Windows 11 23H2. Earlier versions of Big Busines are not supported. Use this latest Big Business Client.
Printer Error
Windows 11 printing errors may be fixed by installing the newest Big Business Client. If errors continue, where the same printer with the same setup works for other users, but errors on one workstation, please contact support@bigbusiness.com.
Windows Updates
Windows 11 2024 Update is available with many changes for Microsoft Copilot. It is recommended that you wait until you are able to upgrade to BigBusiness 15 to update.
Updates to Windows 11 23H2 and Windows 10 22H2 are available for security and recommended for Big Business 14. Updating is not recommended for earlier versions.
The final version of Windows 10 is version 22H2, which will reach end of servicing on October 14, 2025.
Windows Icons
BigBusiness 15.035 updates the Database for compatiblity with Windows 11 24H2.
BigBusiness 15.036 updates Windows Icons for aesthetics, which do not affect use.
PDF Warning on Windows 11 24H2
BigBusiness 15.035 updates the Database to be certified for Windows 11 24H2.
The new database comes with a warning that Microsoft Print to PDF Driver may fail and if used frequently to defer Windows 11 2024 Update.
BigBusiness uses its PDF Emailer and not Microsoft Print to PDF for automation.
