Bins

Bins is an Add-On to help you locate items in your warehouse.

Create Bins for inventory, track Quantities, Search, and Report.

To create a new Bin:
1. Go to Item toolbar
2. Click Bin tool
3. Click Add
4. Enter Bin details
5. Click OK to Save

Bin Location is defined by Custom Fields with Labels you enter in Item Prefs. In this example they are named Zone, RacK, Section, RoW, and Bin.

The Bin Name is automatically created from these custom fields using their CAPS, such as Z for Zone and RK for RacK.

Code is optional and can be used for easy Export and Import of Bins to redefine them as your warehouse grows.

Bar Codes are automatically generated using internal serialization and are printable from the Bins Search.


  Bins Search

Bins is an Add-On to help you locate items in your warehouse.

This Solution provides details. (6619)

Bins Search is used to find and manage Bins. Like other Searches it displays Search and Import results and has features to Update or Export (to update in a spreadsheet and re-import).

Bins Search is different than Bins Qty Search used to find items' locations and quantities.


  Assigning Bins

Assigning Bins uses new tools that improve workflow:

• Autocomplete
• Popup
• Scanning

Using Autocomplete:
• type a partial entry
• if Autocomplete shows the entry you want, type Tab or Enter
• if Popup shows the entry you want use Arrow keys or mouse to select


  Bin Group

This Solution describes the Bin Group field found on the Bin Card. (6668)

This feature is part of the Bin Quantity Add-On that tracks inventory locations in your warehouse(s).

The Bin Card tool, which appears on the Item toolbar, includes a field for Bin Group. This field is used for grouping Bins as needed and appears on the Bin Listing.

To add a Bin Group:
1. Open the Bin Group pulldown
2. Choose, Show List...
3. Click Add
Or click once to select an entry and then click Edit
4. Click OK to save
5. Click OK to select

Access to the Bin Group List--to Add or Edit--is controlled by the Lock Lists setting.
