Chapter 228 iPad Orders
iPad Orders adds new dimensions to connected iPad and iPhone solutions by offering new tools such as Barcode Scanning using camera and the ability to work with Orders.
Previous iPad/iPhone builds support Mapping for delivery, Signature for pickup, and Invoice editing anywhere using Products, Email, PDF, and live update of Big Business.
This chapter will document changes for working with Orders and newest iPad features.
iPad Orders
iPad Orders lets you enter Orders on the go, wherever you find your customer, or edit Orders wherever you need, such as the deep dark corners of your growing warehouses.
iPad Orders is customized and connects to your Big Business Server's Web Server for mobile data exchange and uses Apple's iOS database for intuitive, offline data entry.
iPad Orders adds new features including Price Levels for Customers and Items and Barcode Scanning for adding items to orders using the iPad camera or a linked scanner.
iPad Preset Items
Preset Items lets you send item details to BizApp Orders or another custom solution using FileMaker Go on iPhone or iPad to be ready to take wherever you go.
If you head to a Trade Show, you want to know what Products you have available, along with their Pricing.
If you are working in a remote warehouse, pulling orders as fast as they are released, give youself a headstart by preloading customers, items, and warehouse bin data ahead.

Preset Customers lets you send customer details to BizApp Orders or another custom solution using FileMaker Go on iPhone or iPad to be ready to take wherever you go.

Customers in BizApp solutions for iPhone or iPad include fields in Big Business for: Listing, Code, Company, Contact, Billing Name and Address, Email, Phones, Comment, Customer Date, and Price Level.
iPad Put Customer
Put Customer lets you send changes you make in BizApp Orders, or another custom solution using FileMaker Go on iPhone or iPad, back to Big Business.
From a trade show put in new customers as you meet them and take their orders. For existing customers update their contact infomation just as soon as you find out.
From anywhere in your warehouse add comments, custom dates, and other infomation you have designed into your workflow.
iPad Put Order
Put Order lets you send changes you make in BizApp Orders, or another custom solution using FileMaker Go on iPhone or iPad, back to Big Business.
From a trade show or visit to your customer's place of business, you can send a new Order just as soon as it's ready.
From the depths of a warehouse you might send a change to Backorder items that are unavailable to ship.
iPad Customer Terms
Customer Terms adds terms for all Customers you preset in BizApp Orders for iPad. This shows their terms on New Orders to help you manage expectations and payment.
At a trade show, find your existing customers quickly, on the Customers tab on iPad. Tap on Create Order, to start an order with their Terms, Price Level, and so on, preset.
From anywhere in your warehouse, check Terms, Price Level or whatever key metrics you need at your fingertips, such as Ship Options or Ship Methods for your customer.
iPad Customer Phones
Customer Phones adds phones for Customers you preset in BizApp Orders for iPad. This shows their Phone 1, Phone 2, Phone 3, and Phone 4 entries from Big Business.
At a trade show, or visiting a customer, you see their Phone entries from Big Business on the Customers screen on your iPad and can make changes to update Big Business.
From anywhere in your warehouse, quickly check Customer contact info including all their Phone entries, which you may need for order fulfillment.
iPad Pricing
BizApp Orders, or another custom solution using Filemaker Go on iPhone or iPad, can automatically use Price Levels copied from Big Business or select Price Levels
iPad Order Date
Ship Date in BizApp Orders or Trade Show for iPad is now copied into Big Business.
iPad Ship Date
Ship Date in BizApp Orders or Trade Show for iPad is now copied into Big Business. This sets the Ship Date found on the Expanded Tab of the Order (unless customized).
iPad Price Level
Price Level in BizApp Orders or Trade Show for iPad is now copied to Big Business. This sets the Price Level on the Customer card being added, and then used for Orders.
