Protecting Cost, Profit, and Margin
Big Business Access settings allow you to prevent an Employee from viewing the Profitability tab of sales transactions, so the employee will not know the Cost or Profit on Items sold. To further protect information on Costs in Big Business, you can block an Employee's access to the History tab of Item Card, which shows Cost, as well as Profit Margins on the Item tab. (5768)
Big Business Access settings in an Employee Card include options for Profitability, History, and Categories.
If you turn off access to Profitability, the Employee will not be able to switch to the Profitability tab on Quotes, Sales Orders, and Invoices.
If you turn off access to History, the Employee will not be able to switch to the History tab on the Item Card which displays Costs and includes costs in the history dispalyed. Big Business will also hide the Margins that normally display on the first tab of Item Card.
