Another Version of Big Business Already Installed on Windows


Big Business Installers for Windows use InstallShield and Windows Installer and will not proceed if another version of the same Big Business product is already installed. You will receive an error message alerting you that another version is installed.

Big Business Installers for Windows use InstallShield and Windows Installer and will not proceed if another version of the same Big Business product is already installed. You will receive an error message alerting you that another version is installed.

Go Start, Control Panels, and open Add/Remove Programs, locate the installed Big Business product and click Remove. When the Uninstall completes, Close the Control Panel and proceed with the installation of the new version.

If the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel will not let you remove the earlier version, check that you are logged onto the computer as a user with adequate rights. If the Uninstaller is damaged, note the product and version information and locate the original installer and it will give you the option to Repair or Remove the earlier version (e.g. if you have BB Client 5.0.9 installed, run the BB Client 5.0.9 Installer to remove it). Earlier installers are downloadable from our web site.

If this fails, then refer to Microsoft online help for instructions for your operating system for using RegEdit to remove the Uninstall.
