Taxable Other Charges
Big Business includes the option to have Sales Tax calculated on Other Charges.
In some regions, Freight or other post-Subtotal charges are Taxable. (5792)
In some regions, Freight or other post-Subtotal charges are Taxable. Big Business includes the ability to make Other Charges Taxable.
To define an Other Charge to be Taxable:
1. From the Other Charges pulldown, select Show List.
2. Use the + button to create new or the Edit button to edit existing Other Charges.
3. Enter the Other Charge definition including:
- A Name
- A Calculation if needed
- A Category to post the Other Charges
- The Lock Calculation checkbox to prevent users from overriding a calculation
4. Click the Taxable checkbox to charge Sales Tax on this Other Charge.
5. Click the OK button the save the new definition.
6. Click OK to save Other Charges list window.
Attempting to use the Automatic Calculation, Percentage of Total, along with Taxable will create a circular definition, generating an error message.
