Chapter 39 Auto-Zoom Prefs
Auto-Zoom Prefs help you see better by automatically opening windows larger or not.
Choose Compact to use standard windows for data entry and easily see around them. Choose Auto-Zoom to automatically open data entry windows larger and as resizable.
Auto-Zoom Prefs are available in Company card, Company Prefs, for System Setting, and in My Prefs, User Settings, to use or override the System Setting with your prefs.
Chapter 206 Contacts Search
Contacts Search helps you find your Additional Contacts for Customer and Vendors.
Techniques in this chapter work for any other searches and any other fields, the same. This example offers suggestions for handling large numbers of Contacts per customer.
You might have hundreds or thousands of Ship To's for large customers, or a generic customer for one-off, walk-in, or online orders and need a bit more control to manage.
Chapter 123 Backup Admin
Backup Admin helps you choose a backup strategy by listing options for backing up.
The basic idea of backing up is having an extra copy of your Data File if you ever need. Built-In Backup is the feature of Big Business Server that makes copies, automatically.
Additionally, you may want to copy these copies to a safe place using another routine. There are many options for copying to another computer, removable drive, or services.

Importing lets you use spreadsheet data to create or update your Big Business entries.
Import a price list from a vendor to update your item costs. Then, export these items, calculate new prices in a spreadsheet, and import updated prices. The steps are easy.

Chapter 103 Customer Credit
Big Business lets you set Terms and Credit Limits to help you control customer credit.
Big Business manages Customer Balances and Due Dates and includes:
• Warning or Preventing new entries for Credit Hold
• Generating Statements, Finance Charges, Discounts
• Reporting Accounts Receivable and Customer Agings
This Chapter will provide detail for each feature to help keep your receivables on time.
Chapter 621 Customer Groups
Customer Groups help you bring together large customers in multiple Customer cards.
Often a corporate customer with one billing address and many ship-to locations fits in one Customer card to track their balances, see their history, and apply their payments.
Circumstances like mergers or aquisitions, or having many high-volume locations may prompt you to have multiple Customer cards you want to handle together as a group.
Chapter 620 Spell Check
Spell Check is a built-in feature of the new Database in Big Business 14--worth a look.
Spell Check has some additional options like Grammar, that may or may not be touted. The core feature is inedibly useful thought unless you often get the rung work entirety.
If you get the right word but the wrong spelling, this chapter will show Spell Check options to ensure your typos are underlined and your business jargon, remembered.
Chapter 618 Aesthetics
Big Business' Aesthetics are secondary to its continuity. For continuity, it uses shared elements across systems. Each system displays differently defaulting to its own font, color palette, or common object such as a window or dropdown list diplayed uniquely.
The result is an aesthetic that could be termed, Industrial. Things are generally aligned for strength and scale while sacrificing pixel-perfection. This supports its modularity, translatability, contextualization, and various other long words for built for a purpose.
Chapter 617 Backgrounds
Big Business 14 uses System Colors, which means large swaths of grey or gray prevail.
People may prefer a background with super contrast for better legiblity or mood effect.
Obviously on Windows 11, it would be nice to have White for the modern theme there. On the Mac, there may be built-in apps with woven fabric or other texture on the way.
Big Business 14 will test some Backgrounds like Metal, Concrete, Unicorn, and White. These will include Light and Dark versions and instructions for dropping in your own.
Shopify Setup (New)
Big Business 14 adds new Shopify Connect options to suppport Shopify Versioning, Access Tokens, and Editions starting with their new Summer '23 Edition.
